UNDP partners with iCampus Liberia, Growth Africa, and the Accountability Lab Liberia to support impactful Liberian entrepreneurs intending to scale their ventures through access to mentorship, technical assistance, and co-financing.

Growth Accelerator Liberia looks to aid the long-term recovery effort and support measures that will reduce socio-economic impacts for the vulnerable in turn contributing to economic development. At first, the initiative kicked off on Tuesday opening the application window for all interested entrepreneurs resulting in a close of the application process by September 10th (the first phase of the growth accelerator).

UNDP has a 50 plus yearly focus on driving sustainable development to the lower and middle-income countries worldwide and will leverage with other stakeholders with a strong track record of working towards alleviating hardships while strengthening both individuals and organizations.

The accelerator is set up to support the growth stage and establish viable businesses that accelerate economic growth and activity amidst the Covid-19 recovery efforts. Ventures offering innovative solutions and transformative business models, services, and products are largely post-revenue.

UNDP’s Liberia Assistant Country Rep and Team Leader spoke at an event saying Growth Accelerator Liberia accepts Liberian businesses especially entrepreneurs around Grand Cape Mount, Grand Gedeh, Montserrado, Lofa, Nimba, Grand Bassa, and Sinoe. Applicants can visit the site at growlib.org, or visit partner offices in the county locations mentioned.
