EY Forensics and Integrity Services has launched Learning-As-A-Service in ethics and compliance, as part of an initiative to help professionals upskill on the go and navigate the complexities surrounding moonlighting.

EY Forensic and Integrity practice has trained 15000-plus professionals so far in the areas of code of conduct, anti bribery, anti-corruption, anti money laundering etc. and aims to target 50,000 in 2023 with this launch.

As per the findings of EY’s Global Integrity Report – Emerging Markets Perspective s released last year, less than half of the respondents surveyed from India undergo training on ethics and integrity during their professional life despite 97% agreeing that integrity is important. To upskill individuals and drive greater awareness around Ethics and Compliance practices, eLearning modules have been launched on anti-bribery and anti-corruption.

Arpinder Singh, Global markets and India Leader, Forensic & Integrity Services, EY told ET that the eLearning modules are completely customisable according to the needs of the organization and are constantly elevated to equip candidates with the latest developments and changes taking place across the regulatory landscape.

“In today’s times, it has become crucial for working professionals to have the requisite knowledge of new-age procedures, technologies, reforms, and regulatory developments. Therefore everyone—from Compliance and Ethics professionals, Investigation officers, Forensic practitioners, Internal Auditors, and even those aspiring to pursue a career in compliance or forensic functions—can benefit from our Learning-as-a-service proposition,” added Singh

“The whole Learning-As-A-Service is an initiative for knowledge-sharing and enhancement. The proposition naturally lends itself to corporate partnerships, so, yes, if something piques our interest, we would like to pursue it,” said Singh.

The initiative has been designed to help corporates upskill their workforce in matters that can give organizations a competitive edge. The course encompasses key bribery and corruption legislations, the consequences of violation, risks associated with unethical acts, and best practices pertaining to Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) through interactive and text-based content for better understanding.

“At a time when non-compliance is not only met with stern warnings and hefty fines but has also become a business differentiator, being aware of the constantly evolving regulations is non-negotiable. Considering our modules have been designed for professionals on the go, they appropriately address the challenges of upskilling, which makes it so important in today’s times,” added Singh.
