Vodafone Cash has unveiled a strategic alliance with Remitly Inc., a distinguished international money transfer company from Seattle, renowned for its presence on the Top 100 Cross-Border Payment Companies list.

This collaboration is poised to revolutionize the remittance process for Vodafone Cash subscribers, offering a more user-friendly, secure, and streamlined approach for recipients in Ghana to receive overseas funds directly into their Vodafone Cash wallets.

Ghana stands as the second-highest recipient of remittances in Africa, having received inflows amounting to $4.8 billion in 2022.

The surge in mobile money platforms like Vodafone Cash has significantly contributed to the uptick in remittance flows.

The partnership with Remitly seeks to bolster Vodafone Cash’s foothold in the remittance sector and consolidate its position in the market, all while providing customers with an easy and secure means of receiving international funds.

Both Vodafone Ghana and Vodafone Cash customers are poised to reap substantial benefits from this collaboration.

Remitly’s International Money Transfer service empowers customers to receive remittances from over 135 countries directly into their Vodafone Cash wallets, sidestepping the need for intermediary steps like visiting banks or currency exchange platforms.

This streamlined process ensures enhanced convenience, security, and speed for customers accessing their funds.

Our goal is to simplify the process and make it safer and more efficient for our subscribers to receive international money transfers. We are privileged to partner with Remitly, with significant support from FBN Bank, to make this happen for our customers.”

This collaboration between Vodafone Ghana and Remitly holds the potential to reshape Ghana’s remittance landscape, furnishing Vodafone Cash subscribers with an accessible and efficient solution for receiving international funds.
