The African Sovereign Blockchain Coalition and the Africa Chamber of Digital Commerce (ACOFDC) VIPs meet President Mokgweetsi Masisi, President of the Republic of Botswana in Dubai, on the 14th of March, 2022.

The aim is to present the Chamber’s initiatives and projects by the coalition/sponsors to His Excellency to explore innumerable trade and investment and collaboration opportunities offered by the Republic of Botswana.

The Expo 2020 Dubai is a World Expo, currently hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. There are around 192 Country Pavilions including the USA, one of the biggest pavilions that offer a golden opportunity to showcase Africa to the world and project the continent as the next hub for growth and innovation.

ACOFDC is a diaspora led nonprofit organization domiciled in the US whose mission is to accelerate the adoption of emerging technology across all industries in Africa through advocacy, education, and strategic partnerships in collaboration with policy makers, regulatory agencies, tech investors and captains of industries.

The African Sovereign Blockchain Coalition is a think-tank of Africans and allies in Blockchain leveraging emerging tech projects to spur economic growth in Africa.

The Chamber will present her initiatives which will be unveiled at the ACOFDC Summit’22 in the USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai on March 18th. 2022 where His Excellency will deliver a keynote address. Some of the initiatives to be unveiled are;

3. Rural Infrastructure Financing Platform (Blockchain Powered)

The delegation along with sponsors/partners of the ACOFDC Summit ’22 will meet with the President, members of Botswana business community, and professionals to facilitate linkages between the sovereign projects and Botswana businesses.

Botswana is a Diamond rich nation with a budding tech ecosystem, i.e the Botswana Innovation Hub is a state-of-the-art facility that is poised to define the future of innovation on the continent. His Excellency will receive the ACOFDC’s Inaugural “DOERs award” at the Summit in recognition of the technological advancements in the Republic of Botswana. The DOERs award is a signature award of the Chamber in recognition of exceptional contributors and philanthropists’ and leaders making visible impact in the Diaspora and on the continent of Africa.
