Kashifu Inuwa, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), provided insights into the agency’s strategic vision to fortify Nigeria’s information technology sector, placing a strong emphasis on resilience in the face of challenges.

Inuwa shared these plans during the ‘CONNECT THE DOT’S CONFERENCE,’ themed “Igniting Resilience and Empowering Youth.” The event took place at the A-Class Event Centre, Abuja, where he underscored the necessity for resilience from all stakeholders within the sector.

He emphasized NITDA’s commitment to implementing various initiatives aimed at ensuring the enduring strength and resilience of the country’s IT industry.

“In the face of challenges, particularly in the IT industry, we must be resilient,” stated Inuwa. “NITDA is actively engaged in several initiatives to foster resilience, including the establishment of IT hubs in universities and the promotion of local content development.”

In addition, Inuwa highlighted the pivotal role of digital transformation in cultivating resilience. NITDA is actively working to broaden access to digital technologies and skills across Nigeria, facilitating adaptation to the evolving digital landscape.

The audience responded positively to Inuwa’s address, with numerous stakeholders expressing support for NITDA’s endeavors in promoting resilience within the IT sector.
