Amazon and Santander have introduced a new Visa credit card in Austria, offering cashback rewards for purchases on Amazon.de and other retail platforms.

Key Features of the Amazon Visa Card

The fee-free credit card is issued through Zinia, Grupo Santander’s consumer finance platform, and does not require customers to open a new bank account.

Cardholders can earn:

  • 1% in points for purchases made on Amazon.de
  • 0.5% in points for all other purchases
  • 2% in points for Amazon Prime members during select Amazon.de shopping events

Additionally, new cardholders receive a sign-up bonus of up to €15 for Prime members and up to €10 for other customers.

Seamless Digital Integration

The Amazon Visa card is complemented by a dedicated app, allowing users to track reward balances and redeem points directly at checkout on Amazon.de.

Strengthening Digital Consumer Finance

Ramón Billordo, Head of Zinia, emphasized the company’s commitment to expanding digital financial solutions:

“We continue to expand our business with Zinia, our digital consumer finance platform, and as of today, the Amazon Visa card is now available to Austrian residents. We are delighted to collaborate once again with a globally recognised brand like Amazon and to continue providing alternative banking experiences for customers’ shopping needs.”

With this launch, Amazon and Santander continue their strategic partnership, offering flexible payment solutions and enhanced shopping experiences for Austrian consumers.
