Global: Meta prepares the launch of the Metaverse in Côte d’Ivoire

The African subsidiary of Meta, the American technology group that owns the social networks Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, announced last week the next deployment of the Metaverse in Côte d’Ivoire. Balkissa Ide Siddo, Meta’s director of public policy for Africa, explained at a forum held on Friday (May 19, 2023) in Abidjan where representatives of the US firm and business leaders gathered, that “it could help medical students practice surgical techniques and could also bring school lessons to life in new and exciting ways.”
