Data Zoo, a leading global identity provider, has appointed Charlie Minutella, a seasoned veteran from Refinitiv and the London Stock Exchange, as its new CEO.
With nearly two decades of experience in leading risk, identity, and compliance teams, Minutella notably spearheaded the risk division at Refinitiv during his tenure at the London Stock Exchange.
Minutella succeeds Data Zoo’s founder, Tony Fitzgibbon, who will transition to the role of chairman and chief strategy officer.
Under Fitzgibbon’s leadership, Data Zoo experienced substantial growth, expanding to over 80 employees worldwide, establishing operations in the United States, and entering the heavily regulated European market.
Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, Data Zoo maintains offices in New York, Amsterdam, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, and Singapore. Its clientele in Europe includes an Australian ‘Big Four’ bank, a renowned global social media brand, and three of the top global payment providers.
Bringing his expertise from leading businesses like World-Check, Giact, Global Data Consortium, and RDD at LSEG, Minutella spent the last six months as a partner at tech-focused VC Tritium Partners. He will now lead Data Zoo’s global operations from its New York office.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Minutella remarked, “Throughout my career, I’ve recognized that a company’s success is deeply rooted in its passion and purpose. Data Zoo exemplifies these qualities with its blend of agility, innovation, and steadfast commitment to compliance.”
“I am eager to leverage these strengths,” Minutella continued, “addressing complex challenges and bridging the industry’s existing gaps that have long posed obstacles.”
Minutella’s appointment signifies Data Zoo’s strategic focus on harnessing seasoned leadership to further its mission of providing cutting-edge identity solutions in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape.
