For this year’s edition, FintechNGR would be co-creating a satellite event in Nigeria with SFF on one of the days dedicated to Nigeria during the festival.
This partnership will see FintechNGR hosting a hybrid event with different activities and programmes in the course of the week on November 11, 2021.
The Singapore FinTech Festival is a week-long event organized by the Singapore FinTech Festival the last two days of the festival tagged “World Fintech Festival” is usually focused on other climes with growing Fintech activities.
With over 40 Global Satellite Events in key FinTech hubs around the world, comprising digital-only events and physical events in selected cities, hosted in partnership with a network of trusted global partners.
The festival, brings together content from innovation hubs and FinTechs from around the globe, as well as in-person attendees and exclusive access to networking opportunities with industry leaders and sponsors.
The 2020 edition of the World FinTech Festival had 2,000+ speakers, 1,300+ exhibitors and saw about 60,000 participants from over 160 countries, 27 international pavilions, 45 satellite events hosted by partner cities across the world with 3.5 million session views. Some past speakers at the events include: Bill Gates, Co-Chair and Trustee, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director, International Monetary Fund, Sundar Pichai, Chief Executive Officer, Google and Alphabet, Satya Nadella, Chief Executive Officer, Microsoft, Dr Abhijit Banerjee, 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics, Ford Foundation International Professor of Economics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and so many other accomplished leaders drawn from across sectors.
FintechNGR and the Singapore FinTech Festival have partnered on a few programmes and activities in time past, including the latter’s specially curated session at the Nigeria Fintech Week amidst other such events, hence the partnership on the World FinTech Festival 2021 is a welcome development that would provide a window for both parties to cross-leverage resources and opportunities in Nigeria, Singapore and even globally.
