Egypt’s ITIDA has organized an annual Employment Fair to be attended by 40 global and local ICT companies bringing job opportunities closer to young Egyptian talent and graduates.

This virtual gathering is one of ITIDA’s initiatives to meet the accelerated labor demand when growing offshore markets by linking local talent with outsourcing and technology employers. This support further includes enhancing business skills and equipping the youth, particularly university grads with essential business and digital skills to enter the ICT sector.

ITIDA’s CEO, Amr Mahfouz described Egypt’s ICT sector as an opportunity-packed labor-intensive sector. He further highlighted the role played by the government and huge investment in infrastructure development and upskilling the strategic sourcing professionals leading to rapid response and resilience to the covid-19 pandemic.

The ITIDA CEO was optimistic over a new five-year plan developed in collaboration with global consultancy firm Ernst & Young that was working towards tripling the size of BPO and ITO exports. He further shared that ITIDA will continue to provide different training programs and initiatives under the auspices of MCIT to attract more talent into the industry and train over 200,000 with its FY2022 EGP1.1 billion budget.

Over 6,200 men and women have registered to explore and apply to the 5700 available jobs and internship opportunities provided by global and local employers like Oracle, AWS, Dell, Webhelp, VOIS, Raya, DXC Technology, and Concentrix.

ITIDA then organizes the employment fair to meet the needs and rising demands of Egypt’s business services outsourcing sector.
