Côte d’Ivoire ratifies the Malabo Convention on Cybersecurity and the Protection of Personal Data

The bill authorizing the ratification of the Malabo Convention on Cybersecurity and the Protection of Personal Data was adopted by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Abidjan.

According to the statement of the said Council, the ratification of this convention will allow the Ivory Coast, together with the Member States of the African Union, to consolidate the strategy to crack down cybercrime, in order to address this threat that weakens the security of computer networks and the development of the African information society under construction.
