Bolt, ride-hailing firm has launched a new campaign to empower women in technology across Africa, as women empowerment continues to gather momentum.

The campaign which runs throughout the month of March 2021, will be offering internships aimed at uplifting careers for women in the tech space regardless of their field in Africa.

Bolt says there could be a role for anyone choosing to take the challenge, with areas of focus ranging from Operations to Marketing and PR to Engineering.

”Successful candidates will have the chance to not only start a career in tech, but also make a difference in the ride-hailing space.” the company says.

The internship will offer women at the start of their careers access to Top Bolt executives with years of experience across Europe and Africa.

The top finalists will be announced in April 2021 and the internship program will begin in May 2021.

Bolt says nominations can be made through a post on social media (Twitter or Instagram) making a case for why the nominated candidate deserves the Internship role and what she would contribute to the industry if given the opportunity using the hashtag #DrivingWITech-Kenya.
