Maryland-based Educational Systems Federal Credit Union has gone live with Finastra’s Fusion Digital Banking system.

Finastra says the system, formerly known as Malauzai, provides a “consistent, omni-channel experience” for customers.

Chris Conway, CEO of Educational Systems FCU, says that his firm needed to provide its members with a digital experience.

He adds that it needed to rival the in-branch experience “in terms of ease and functionality”. The credit union picked Finastra’s system due to its robustness and ability to integrate with a new core system.

“Using their unique API architecture, Finastra was able to quickly build connectivity to our current core so we could implement the new digital solution immediately.”

Founded in 1955, Educational Systems FCU has around 90,000 members and $743 million in assets under management. It operates 13 branches throughout its home state.

“Now, more than ever, account holders require a robust digital experience from their financial institution,” says Chris Zingo, senior vice president and general manager for Americas at Finastra.

“We’re excited to be working with Educational Systems Federal Credit Union to bring this to its members.

“As the credit union is in the process of changing its core provider, we were committed to making sure that the digital experience remained consistent for these members.”
