NOVA Bank Announces Appointment of New Executive Directors

NOVA Bank has announced the appointment of David Isiavwe as Executive Director, Operations and Information Technology, and Chinwe Iloghalu as Executive Director, Institutional and Commercial Banking. These strategic appointments come as part of the Bank’s continued expansion following its recent transition to a national commercial bank.

Dr. David ISIAVWE Ph.d

David Isiavwe, with over 30 years of experience in both domestic and international banking, will lead NOVA’s Operations and IT division. His impressive credentials include a Ph.D. in Accounting and being a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and the Compliance Institute of Nigeria (FCIN). Dr. Isiavwe is also certified in numerous IT and security disciplines, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, and CDPSE. A key figure in digital transformation, he chairs the Information Security Society of Africa, Nigeria (ISSAN) and the Audit Committee of the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS). His appointment aligns with NOVA’s vision to drive its technology-forward phygital banking model.

 

Mrs. Chinwe Iloghalu

Chinwe Iloghalu, a seasoned banking professional with close to 30 years of experience, will head Institutional and Commercial Banking. Her expertise spans corporate, commercial, and digital banking, and she has consistently delivered sustainable value across key industries, including energy. A Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration (FICA), she holds an MSc in Media and Communications and an MBA, having completed executive programs at Oxford, Harvard, and Wharton. Iloghalu will be central to enhancing the bank’s commercial banking strategy.
