e&, a prominent Abu Dhabi-listed company, has partnered with three other entities to establish a Telco Large Language Model (LLM) through the Global Telco AI Alliance (GTAA). The alliance recently finalized a joint venture agreement aimed at enhancing customer interactions for telecommunications companies worldwide using advanced AI solutions.
The signing ceremony took place at DWT24-Ingnite in Copenhagen, following earlier announcements outlining plans for the JV. Alongside e&, the other participating entities include South Korea’s SK Telecom, Germany’s Deutsche Telekom, Singapore’s Singtel, and Japan’s SoftBank Corp.
The primary objective of this joint venture is to leverage the Telco LLM to significantly improve customer engagement across diverse linguistic and cultural contexts. With support for languages such as Korean, English, German, Arabic, and Bahasa Indonesian, the initiative targets a vast customer base spanning 1.3 billion individuals across 50 countries.
This strategic collaboration underscores e&’s commitment to advancing AI-driven telecommunications solutions on a global scale, marking a significant step towards enhancing digital customer experiences in the telecommunications sector.
