11 Benin startups awarded OUMANDERA funding by the Digital Entrepreneurship Support Fund

The Digital Entrepreneurship Support Fund, a project of the Ministry of Digital and Digitalization looking to revitalize the country’s digital ecosystem via direct financial support, training, and technical support awarded 11 Benin startups a sum of $372,000 (FCFA200 million).

The award which took place on May 14th graced Mrs. Aurelie Adam Soule Zoumarou. Another representative from the Ministry of Economy and Finance was also present, Mr. Hermann Orou Takou, the Chief of Staff.

The call for applications was launched in October 2020 with FAEN receiving over 114 applications. The top 11 best startups were picked at the end of a process that ran in 3 phases, a pre-selection, a written evaluation, and finally files and pitches before an evaluation committee.

The winners were Fedapay (fintech), Go Medical (fintech), Ylomi (Concierge), BFT (fintech), Gounou (Agribusiness), Ola Medical services (health), Africa Puzzle (entertainment), Jinukun (Agribusiness), Tech in All Engineering (Agribusiness), Tico (Agribusiness), and Medom Benin (health).
