The country has a new set of banknotes and coins.
The Reserve Bank says the currency continues to celebrate our heritage.
The upgraded notes and coins will start being circulated this week.
The currency continues to carry portraits of former president Nelson Mandela and Africa’s Big Five.
There will also be specific physical characteristics to help visually impaired people differentiate the banknotes.
