The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has taken a significant stride by establishing a technical committee dedicated to overseeing the implementation of the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Programme.

Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed his utmost appreciation, hailing this development as the dawn of a new era in Nigeria.

The iDICE Programme stands as a collaborative initiative involving various government bodies and esteemed global partners such as the Bank of Industry, African Development Bank (AfDB), French Development Agency, and Islamic Development Bank. Its primary objective is to provide robust support and foster growth within Nigeria’s digital and creative sectors, empowering businesses operating within these industries.

In a significant move, the National Economic Council (NEC) sanctioned the rollout of the $617.7 million iDICE program across all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during its meeting in March.

During the inauguration of the Technical Committee for the iDICE program on Wednesday, Vice President Shettima conveyed his optimism, emphasizing the transformative potential of this initiative in reshaping Nigeria’s digital and creative landscape.

“We embark on a journey of innovation, collaboration, and boundless opportunity – a journey that holds the power to redefine the trajectory of our nation’s digital and creative landscape,” Vice President Shettima remarked enthusiastically.
