Omolola Oloworaran has officially assumed the role of Acting Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom). Her appointment is in line with Section 26 (1) of the Pension Reform Act 2014, pending confirmation by the Senate.
In her new role, Oloworaran is set to drive forward the implementation of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). Her goals include sustaining the growth trajectory of pension assets, increasing CPS membership, and supporting initiatives to expand coverage. She is also committed to ensuring the prompt payment of retirement benefits and enhancing pension investment opportunities to deliver better returns for both contributors and retirees.
Oloworaran, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector to PenCom. An alumna of the University of Ilorin with a degree in Accounting, she also holds an MBA from Manchester Business School. Her extensive background includes significant roles in prestigious investment and commercial banks.
