Heirs Technologies Secures NRS Accreditation for E-Invoicing Compliance

Heirs Technologies has received accreditation from the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) as a System Integrator for the Federal Government’s mandatory e-invoicing framework, positioning the company as an authorised partner to support businesses in complying with the Merchant Buyer Solution (MBS) platform.

According to the firm’s statement, this recognition enables Heirs Technologies to integrate corporate invoicing systems with the national e-invoicing infrastructure, ensuring invoice validation, secure data exchange, and automated regulatory reporting—key measures in the government’s drive to improve tax compliance, transparency, and revenue assurance.

The Federal Government’s e-invoicing mandate is part of a broader strategy to reduce tax leakages and standardise reporting across critical sectors. As implementation accelerates, businesses are increasingly required to align their invoicing and reporting processes with the NRS model.

Speaking on the development, George Njuguna, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Heirs Technologies, emphasized that e-invoicing is more than a technology upgrade.

“E-invoicing is fundamentally a cross-functional compliance requirement that spans finance, tax, operations, and technology. Successful adoption demands strong system integration capabilities alongside a deep understanding of regulatory and tax obligations,” Njuguna said.

He added that Heirs Technologies combines its digital transformation expertise with insights from tax professionals to ensure client solutions meet both technical and regulatory standards.

As an accredited System Integrator, the company will provide end-to-end compliance support, including readiness assessments, system integration, validation, and ongoing post-deployment assistance. Its solutions are designed to integrate with existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) and accounting platforms, minimising operational disruptions for clients.

Beyond e-invoicing, Heirs Technologies continues to expand its services across cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems integration, managed services, artificial intelligence, software licensing, and digital transformation consulting.

The accreditation reinforces the company’s commitment to helping businesses navigate Nigeria’s evolving regulatory compliance landscape, ensuring seamless adoption of digital financial systems while strengthening governance and operational efficiency.

This positions Heirs Technologies as a key player in Nigeria’s regulatory technology (RegTech) ecosystem, enabling firms to leverage compliance automation and regulatory reporting tools to meet the country’s modern tax administration standards.
