CRC Credit Bureau Limited, one of Africa’s leading credit bureaus, has announced the appointment of Mr. Patrick Ehidiame Akhidenor as a Non-Executive Director on its Board, following approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Akhidenor joins the Board as First Bank of Nigeria Limited’s representative, taking over from Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu, who was recently appointed Group Managing Director of First Bank.
With more than 30 years of experience in banking and financial services, Akhidenor brings extensive expertise in credit and risk management, corporate finance, operations, and strategic leadership. He currently serves as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at First Bank, a role he assumed in July 2024. In this capacity, he has played a key role in strengthening the bank’s credit and enterprise risk architecture, driving strategic reforms, and ensuring operational excellence across its regional operations.
Chairman of CRC’s Board, Mr. Joel Owoade, welcomed the appointment, noting:
“We are delighted to welcome Mr. Patrick Akhidenor to CRC’s Board. His wealth of experience in credit, risk management, and governance will further strengthen CRC’s strategic focus as we continue to promote responsible lending, financial inclusion, and data-driven credit infrastructure in Nigeria and beyond.”
CRC’s Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Tunde Popoola, added that Akhidenor’s appointment underscores the company’s commitment to strong corporate governance and its ambition to remain the continent’s leading credit bureau.
