Global streaming service Amazon Prime Video increased its investment in Nigeria with the announcement of two Local Amazon Originals for Nigerian customers, Gangs of Lagos and LOL: Last One Laughing Naija.
The news comes as Prime Video’s first local marketing campaign for Nigeria launches and customers are now able to sign up to the streaming service in local currency, Nigerian Naira.
Customers in Nigeria can now sign up for a Prime Video membership for 2300 NGN per month and enjoy a great selection of entertainment, including global Amazon Original movies and TV series, popular Hollywood titles, exclusive Nollywood movies, and Local Nigerian Originals coming soon.
Prime Video members can also stream and download and watch anytime, anywhere through the Prime Video app on compatible mobile devices, tablets, Smart TVs, or online.
Customers can also control the amount of data they use by selecting Good, Better, or Best streaming quality, or download on their mobile device for offline viewing later.

Amazon says customers in Nigeria can now see the first locally developed marketing campaign for Prime Video, made by Nigerian production crews and agencies with Nigerian talent.
To watch the selection of entertainment available on Prime Video in Nigeria, customers need to use their Prime Video or Amazon account and sign up to a Prime Video subscription for 2300 NGN per month, after a free trial.
Existing Amazon Prime or Prime Video subscriptions from other countries (e.g. Amazon.com) need to be cancelled in order to sign up for Prime Video in Nigeria. Alternatively, customers can create a new account.
