Malaysia’s Securities regulator slaps Microlink with UMA query

Microlink Solutions Bhd, whose share price rose to a four-year high, has received an unusual market activity (UMA) query by Bursa Malaysia Securities.

The query is over the counter’s sharp rises in share price and volume recently.

Microlink’s share price spiked 28.89% or 39 sen to close at RM1.74 today, its highest since March 2016. At the current price, the company has a market capitalisation of RM320.34 million.

Some 5.73 million shares changed hands today, exceeding the counter’s 200-day average of 549,208 shares.

The share price has been trending upwards since June 29 when it stood at 75 sen, and has risen 132% in the period.
