Lloyds Banking Group has announced the opening of applications for its 2024 ‘Launch Innovation’ programme, aimed at discovering new business partnerships and fostering innovation across various industries.

A Platform for Ambitious Startups

The 12-week programme is open to companies and individuals from any sector, including finance, technology, travel, and healthcare. Lloyds is seeking innovative startups to collaborate on experiments and strategic challenges, working alongside a dedicated launch team to develop cutting-edge solutions.

At the conclusion of the programme, selected participants will have the opportunity to run a commercial proof-of-concept (PoC) with Lloyds, paving the way for potential long-term partnerships.

Proven Success from Past Cohorts

Previous editions of the Launch Innovation programme have led to successful collaborations. Notably, financial education startup Doshi partnered with Lloyds on a gamified financial literacy platform, while driving payments app Caura secured a £4 million investment from the bank.

Tamara van den Ban, Customer Propositions Director at Lloyds Banking Group, emphasized the role of collaboration in driving innovation:

“Our ambition is to innovate at pace, and we believe that collaboration is key to delivering exceptional services and enhancing our capabilities for customers. We’re excited to see the innovative ideas that this year’s Launch Innovation programme will bring!”

Application Deadline and Next Steps

Applications for the 2024 Launch Innovation programme are open until April 25. Startups looking to collaborate with Lloyds and bring transformative ideas to life are encouraged to apply.
