Kenya's Inflation Rate Declines to 4.3% in July

Kenya’s inflation rate decreased to 4.3% year-on-year in July, down from 4.6% in June, according to data released by the national statistics office on Wednesday. Monthly inflation also saw a decline, registering at -0.2% compared to 0.4% the previous month.

The Central Bank of Kenya is expected to announce its latest lending rate decision on August 6. At its last meeting in June, the bank decided to maintain the benchmark lending rate at 13.0%, citing stable inflation within its near-term target range and a focus on maintaining exchange rate stability.
