The technology is deployed through the Ydentity decentralized application or dApp smart contract which enables users to create their own unique identities based on a combination of emotional, cognitive, and biometric characteristics. Simply take a 2-min video interview without giving any PII while facial reactions are processed instantly without storage of any images. Once the video interview is complete, the user’s data is minted as a non-fungible token (NFT) and is stored anonymously on a blockchain. A third party wanting to check the identity of the owner of a Ydentity Token ID; or feed the owner’s data into a decision-making algorithm for a service; or seek authentication of a transaction, must request a unique signature that can only be generated by the owner from his/her wallet.
