Digital bank Tonik has appointed Bryan Carroll, former Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Vietnam’s digital-only bank TNEX, as its new Business Head for Payments, Savings, and Engagement.
The appointment underscores Tonik’s ambition to accelerate growth and deepen customer relationships as the neobank enters a new phase of expansion. Carroll will be responsible for driving annual growth beyond twofold, improving unit economics, and strengthening credit risk management.
Carroll brings extensive experience in building and scaling digital banks, having led TNEX from inception as CEO. His career also includes senior roles at major financial institutions such as First Abu Dhabi Bank, Bank of Ireland, and MSB Bank Vietnam.
Tonik’s leadership described the appointment as timely, noting that the bank is at a critical inflection point as it shifts focus from adding incremental features to scaling its operations sustainably.
In his new role, Carroll will lead efforts to embed deeper customer engagement not only as a product strategy, but as a core pillar of risk management and long-term growth.
Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Tonik Founder and CEO Greg Krasnov said: “Bryan is one of the few operators who truly understands that engagement isn’t just product. It’s risk management. It’s growth. It’s part of the moat.”
Having established its core infrastructure and operations, Tonik is now looking to build on its momentum. The Philippines-based neobank, which has gained strong market traction since launch, sees Carroll’s expertise in digital transformation and data-driven banking as critical to its next stage of development.
