FinTech company QorPay has strengthened its payment ecosystem through a collaboration with Cybersource, integrating Visa Platform Connect (VPC) and other Visa value-added services to enhance transaction efficiency, security, and fraud prevention.

Driving Innovation in Payment Processing

QorPay, a leading provider of payment solutions, is leveraging Visa Acceptance Solutions’ Cybersource, an open and network-agnostic payments ecosystem, to expand its modular payment capabilities. The integration aims to help businesses streamline transactions, optimize data orchestration, minimize fraud risks, and improve expense management, according to the announcement made on March 27.

Ken Paull, Executive Board Member at QorPay, highlighted the strategic importance of this move:

“By integrating with Visa’s value-added services, we can empower businesses with a more secure, flexible, and efficient way to manage payments, reinforcing our commitment to innovation in the FinTech space.”

Visa’s Expanding Role in Payment Security and Efficiency

The integration of Visa Platform Connect into QorPay’s ecosystem aligns with Visa’s broader strategy to enhance efficiency and security in digital payments.

Bill Serino, Senior Vice President and Head of Visa Value-Added Services in North America, stated:

“Teaming up with QorPay is an exciting step for us, as we tap into Visa’s Acceptance Solutions suite to boost efficiency and security for businesses everywhere.”

Visa’s Value-Added Services portfolio, which includes risk and security solutions, advisory services, issuing solutions, and acceptance solutions, generated nearly $9 billion in revenue in 2024. Visa estimates the market potential for these services could reach $520 billion annually in the coming years.

Broader Industry Adoption of Visa Platform Connect

QorPay is among a growing list of FinTech firms and payment service providers integrating Visa’s technology. Earlier this year, Bluefin, a payments security provider, announced that it had integrated its payment gateway with Visa Platform Connect to offer fast and secure multi-currency payment processing.

Tim Barnett, CIO of Bluefin, emphasized the benefits of Visa’s acceptance solutions:

“Bluefin is thrilled to be working with Visa Acceptance Solutions to deliver a true international multi-acquiring P2PE [point-to-point encryption] solution for retailers that removes the cost and complexity of building and managing separate integrations.”

Visa continues to expand its ecosystem through strategic partnerships, reinforcing its position as a leader in secure and efficient digital payments. With QorPay’s latest integration, businesses can expect enhanced fraud prevention, seamless payment processing, and a more secure financial ecosystem—marking a significant step forward in the evolution of FinTech solutions.
