The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has granted approval for the appointment of Mrs. Mary Adeyanju as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Limited.
This approval follows the implementation of a 10-year tenure limit for managing directors and executive directors of insurance companies. Mrs. Adeyanju assumes this role succeeding Mr. Eddie Efekoha, who vacated the position to assume the Group CEO position at Consolidated Hallmark Holdings Plc, as part of the new holding structure of the company.
Mrs. Adeyanju holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Lagos State University, a B.A in Theatre Arts, and a Diploma in Insurance from the University of Jos and Ahmadu Bello University, Kano, respectively. She is also a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, boasting over three decades of diverse experience in the insurance industry.
Commencing her career with Boff Africa Insurance Brokers, Mrs. Adeyanju has held prominent management positions in Carrier Insurance Brokers, First Chartered Insurance Company, and Consolidated Risk Insurers. Notably, she served as the Regional Director of Lagos\Western operations of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc and later assumed the role of Executive Director (Operations) for over seven years. During this period, she consistently enhanced the company’s premium income while instigating significant reforms in marketing, underwriting, and claims management.
