Berlin-based RegTech innovator Mondu is advancing its footprint across Europe through new strategic alliances with Dutch-based Payin3 and French payment platform Lemonway. These partnerships aim to simplify B2B transactions by introducing consumer-style payment flexibility, including Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) models, to businesses and digital marketplaces.
In a bid to reshape B2B financial interactions, Mondu’s collaboration with Payin3—an established provider of flexible consumer payment solutions in the Netherlands—will bring a seamless checkout experience to business buyers. Leveraging Mondu’s Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence, the partnership enables regulated financial services and access to Payin3’s Payment Service Provider (PSP) network, providing enhanced compliance management and risk assessment in B2B payment flows.
“Our integration with Payin3 is part of our commitment to providing merchants and their business buyers with enhanced payment flexibility, which is crucial for scaling their operations effectively,” said Malte Huffmann, co-founder and Co-CEO of Mondu.
Further bolstering its reach, Mondu has also teamed up with Lemonway, a modular payment platform specializing in B2B marketplaces and alternative finance ecosystems. This partnership aligns with Mondu’s mission to redefine regulatory technology solutions for digital commerce by integrating secure and flexible payment infrastructure across diverse platforms.
B2B marketplaces are now the fastest-growing digital sales channel in the sector, projected to exceed €338 billion in 2024. The dramatic rise—from just 20 marketplaces in 2010 to over 300 across Europe today—highlights the urgent need for scalable compliance software and automated regulatory reporting tools to keep pace with growth.
“Our collaboration with Lemonway plays an important role in our mission to simplify and enhance B2B transactions for marketplaces and platforms across Europe,” Huffmann added. “By combining our innovative payment solutions with Lemonway’s expertise, we are setting new standards in marketplace payments.”
With these new integrations, Mondu continues to build a future-proof, regulatory-compliant ecosystem for digital B2B commerce, supporting financial crime prevention, fraud detection, and internal controls while empowering businesses with RegTech-driven flexibility.
