Google Teams Up with Wise to Enhance Global Remittance Access

Google has partnered with Wise to make international money transfers more accessible, starting with a pilot program for US-based users.

The initiative allows people searching on Google for high-demand remittance corridors — including USD to INR, PHP, MXN, and BRL — to compare and send money directly through participating providers.

Lauren Langbridge, Commercial Director at Wise Platform, noted that sending money abroad remains a routine necessity for millions but finding the right provider can be challenging. “By joining forces with Google, Wise will deliver fast, reliable international payments for more US users, helping them make the best choice based on their needs,” she said.

Juan Bianchi, CEO of the money transfer segment at Ria and Xe parent Euronet, added that Google’s reach will help their services connect with millions who have yet to experience them.

In related developments, Google is expanding the number of credit cards in Chrome autofill that display reward details to over 100. The tech giant is also enabling US shoppers to use “buy now, pay later” options — including Affirm and Zip — via Chrome autofill, with Klarna and Afterpay integrations planned.
