CIMB Bank Philippines has partnered with global payments leader Visa to introduce new digital banking solutions designed to support the country’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), a critical driver of the Philippine economy.
At the core of this collaboration is the planned launch of a Visa business debit card, set to debut in the third quarter of 2025. The card will be linked to CIMB’s forthcoming high-interest business savings account, providing entrepreneurs with enhanced financial management tools and greater access to digital banking services.
According to CIMB, the new business debit card will feature zero transaction fees, free fund transfers, and exclusive insurance offers tailored for micro and small businesses. The initiative forms part of the bank’s broader strategy to empower SMEs with efficient, low-cost financial solutions that improve cash flow and operational flexibility.
Additionally, account holders will benefit from a revolving credit facility, giving them access to short-term funding and liquidity support when needed.
Under the partnership, Visa will complement these services by offering exclusive merchant discounts and privileges to CIMB customers, further strengthening the value proposition for SME clients.
The collaboration between CIMB and Visa underscores the growing focus on digital financial inclusion in the Philippines, leveraging technology and strategic partnerships to deliver convenient, affordable, and secure banking services to small businesses.
