Global: Amazon has received approval from the regulator to launch its constellation of more than 3,000 satellites

The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has given Amazon permission to launch 3,236 satellites into orbit to support its future broadband service, the Kuiper project.

Amazon will make up to 83 launches to place satellites in orbit over the next five years. This operation will be carried out using rockets from Blue Origin, the space company of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
