Ghanaian fintech raises $1 milion investment to scale offering

AppsNmobile, a Ghanaian fintech startup has raised a $1 million investment from the Oasis Capital VC fund. The raise will help scale its e-payment services across the country.

The $50 million Oasis Africa VC fund has invested into several early-stage startups across Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. Oasis Capital is composed of local Ghanian financiers and global investment bodies such as the European Investment Bank, International Finance Corporation, and the Dutch Good Growth Fund.

AppsNmobile was founded in 2015 by Richard Bansah to offer custom mobile payments services that help MSMEs digitize the collection process. The new fundraising would help AppsNmobile grow its mobile virtual point of sale (vPOS) product.

AppsNmobile also runs Agropay and agropay platform helping farmers make and receive payments from agribusinesses while encouraging an organized purchase of farm produce and other items.
