AIDEC Digital has opened its ultra-modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre of Excellence at AIDEC Plaza, East Legon, Accra with co-location at Academic City University College, Accra, Ghana.

The Centre will provide both in-person and virtual training, educational programmes and consulting services to organisations, and institutions in the private and public sectors.

Speaking at the launch of the centre, Executive Director of AIDEC Digital, Ambrose Yennah called on businesses to invest in the training of its employees, especially top level managers in artificial intelligence.

He explained that AI can be employed to significantly boost productivity and enhance business solution process.

“Technological development has caught up with us and everybody has to move along with it especially in the business sector. So it important that executives of all business entities buy into this and get their top brass educated”.

He further cautioned that failure to keep up with current technological trends could greatly reduce efficiency.

On his part, the president of the Institute of ICT Professionals, David Gowu said, the training centre will afford young people the opportunity to educate themselves in artificial intelligence.

Representing 7W Artificial Intelligence, the president of the Slovanian-Ghana Business Club, Gilbert Yelewere Meznar said Slovania through 7W Artificial Intelligence Company is committed to supporting Ghana build the required knowledge base in artificial intelligence.

The centre will also offer practical knowledge in areas of AI and its application for agriculture, health, education, fintech, mechanical engineering etc

The two AI centers of excellence is a result of a Consortium Partnership between them, the Institute of ICT Professionals (IIPGH), Ghana, and their International Partners, 7W Artificial Intelligence company Ltd of Slovenia.
