Nigeria: BOI names Olayinka Mubarak Managing Director of Investment & Trust arm

The Bank of Industry (BOI) has appointed Olayinka Mubarak as the Managing Director of BOI Investment & Trust Company Limited (BOI-ITC), its wholly owned subsidiary.

Mubarak brings more than 25 years of experience in banking and financial services, with a career that spans development finance, treasury management, public sector banking, commercial and retail banking, as well as corporate, private and investment banking. Her professional background is complemented by extensive local and international training, giving her broad exposure to global best practices in leadership, governance and financial services.

Before her appointment, Mubarak held several senior leadership positions at the Bank of Industry, where she played a key role in initiatives that delivered measurable impact across critical sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Her governance experience also includes a federal appointment to the Board of the Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF) in 2017, highlighting her track record in public sector oversight and institutional leadership.

In her new role, Mubarak will provide strategic direction for BOI-ITC, overseeing its core operations in trusteeship, custodial services, financial planning and advisory services. Her mandate will focus on strengthening governance, driving operational excellence and delivering sustainable value for clients and stakeholders.
