Global: Routefusion Secures $26.5 Million Series A to Expand Cross-Border Payments Infrastructure

0

Austin-based fintech Routefusion has raised $26.5 million in Series A funding to accelerate its mission of simplifying cross-border payments and multi-currency account access for financial institutions and platforms.

The round was led by PeakSpan Capital, with participation from Silverton Partners, bringing Routefusion’s total funding to $40.7 million.

Streamlining Global Payments Through Unified Infrastructure

Routefusion provides a financial infrastructure platform that consolidates fragmented payment rails, currency conversion, and compliance systems into a single API. This enables banks, fintechs, and enterprise platforms to embed global payment functionality directly into their products without managing multiple third-party integrations.

Unlike many providers that rely on external systems, Routefusion operates its infrastructure end-to-end—covering onboarding, compliance, and go-live support. This integrated approach allows partners to move money globally with greater efficiency, transparency, and reliability.

Fueling Growth and Innovation

The newly raised capital will support Routefusion’s efforts to expand its global partner network, strengthen liquidity and compliance capabilities, and scale its engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.

According to Colton Seal, CEO of Routefusion, the company’s vision is to reshape international payments much like Visa revolutionized domestic commerce.

“Much like Visa transformed domestic commerce, Routefusion is unifying access to the global payments ecosystem,” Seal said. “Our mission is to ensure that businesses—no matter their size or location—can move money with the same speed, trust, and transparency as they operate locally.”

Bridging the Global Payments Gap

As demand for cross-border financial infrastructure grows amid globalization and digital commerce expansion, Routefusion’s technology is positioning itself at the forefront of enabling seamless international transactions.

By consolidating payment flows and regulatory processes into a single programmable interface, Routefusion empowers platforms to offer users a consistent, compliant, and frictionless experience across borders—driving financial inclusion and global business connectivity.
