The Kenya-based B2B retail and financial services distribution MarketForce has partnered with local fintech Cellulant to expand the first’s RejaReja super app into five additional African markets.

The RejaReja app allows informal merchants to order and pay for their inventories digitally, accept utility bills and payments, as well as access funds for their businesses. Starting of December 2021, the app will be available in Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Ghana, two months after being launched in Kenya and Nigeria.

The partnership with Cellulant not only opens new markets but allows MarketForce to reach for new merchants, as the latter has partnerships with 46 mobile-money operators across Africa and 120 banks.

The goal of the collaboration is to boost financial inclusion among the SMEs and merchants and bringing digitalisation to an emerging market.
