Kuda, through its Kuda Business platform, has introduced new virtual and physical point-of-sale (POS) solutions aimed at simplifying payment processes for freelancers, small businesses, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria.

These innovations are designed to address common payment challenges such as delayed confirmations and fragmented banking services, enabling businesses to accept payments faster and more efficiently.

The Virtual POS solution allows businesses to process payments using account numbers, eliminating the need for traditional hardware. This cost-effective option enables business owners to create multiple terminal account numbers that can be assigned to sales staff. When customers make payments, sales personnel receive instant payment confirmations via email, SMS, or directly on their mobile devices.

Meanwhile, the physical POS devices support both card payments and bank transfers, offering businesses instant settlement and immediate access to funds after transactions are completed.

Nosa Oyegun, Vice President of Product and Innovation at Kuda, emphasized the critical role these solutions play in supporting Nigerian SMEs. He stated:

“Our aim is to equip SMEs with tools that not only simplify payment processing but also enhance overall business efficiency. The virtual POS eliminates the need for hardware, providing instant alerts for payments, while the physical POS ensures quick and reliable face-to-face transactions.”

The launch of these POS solutions underscores Kuda Business’ commitment to fostering the growth and operational efficiency of Nigerian SMEs, offering them flexible, modern tools to streamline their payment operations.
