DNA Partners has acquired SIC Biometrics, a company with 25 years of experience in biometric systems, aiming to accelerate innovation and solidify its market presence. Eric Talbot, the founder and CEO of SIC Biometrics, will remain at the helm for the next three years to ensure a smooth transition.
SIC Biometrics has a robust client base, providing advanced biometric solutions to law enforcement and security agencies, including the FBI, U.S. Marshals, U.S. Postal Service, border agents, and various police departments. The company recently secured a significant five-year blanket purchase agreement from the U.S. Marshals Service, valued at approximately $1 million, for its Wi-Fi mobile fingerprint readers.
Jean-Marc Bougie, managing partner at DNA Partners, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This partnership is an opportunity to leverage our expertise and support SIC Biometrics in realizing its full potential on the global stage.”
SIC Biometrics offers a comprehensive suite of multimodal identity verification methods, including fingerprint, facial recognition, and iris scanning. Their IdentiFi series stands out with its mobile biometric capabilities, featuring live-scan fingerprint capture, roll capture, contact card and contactless card reading, and e-Passport scanning.
