CBE Auctions $1.13 Billion in Treasury Bills

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) conducted two treasury bill (T-bill) auctions on Thursday, August 22, 2024, with a total value of EGP 55 billion.

The first auction, valued at EGP 30 billion, offered T-bills with a 182-day maturity, set to expire on February 25, 2025.

The second auction, amounting to EGP 25 billion, featured T-bills with a 364-day maturity, scheduled to mature on August 26, 2025.

Earlier in the week, the CBE also issued T-bills worth a total of EGP 60 billion across two separate auctions.
