FIRS Opens Recruitment for Experienced Professionals in Tax, ICT, and Other Key Roles

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has officially commenced its recruitment process for experienced professionals to fill strategic roles across various departments, including tax investigation, legal services, public relations, ICT, and cybersecurity.

In a public notice released on Monday, the FIRS emphasized that the recruitment drive aligns with its mission to enhance workforce capacity and operational efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a second-class lower division or lower credit.
  • NYSC Completion: Candidates must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme by 31 December 2017.
  • Age Limit:
    • Applicants for Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager roles must be under 40 years of age.
    • Applicants for Senior Manager and Assistant Director roles must be under 45 years of age as of 31 December.

Available Roles

The recruitment spans 14 positions, including:

  • Assistant Manager (Tax Investigation)
  • Deputy Manager (Legal)
  • Assistant Manager (ICT)

Salary grades for these positions range from 04 to 08.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Candidates are expected to possess:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • A solid understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks.

Interested applicants can submit their applications via the official FIRS recruitment portal or through verified FIRS social media platforms. Applications open on Monday, 23 December, and close on 11 January 2025.
