Adeshina Ajayi, a Nigerian blockchain expert, has underscored the transformative potential of blockchain technology in driving economic growth. Ajayi, who is leading initiatives to expand blockchain education and solutions across Africa and globally, shared his insights in a statement released on Tuesday.
“Blockchain is not just a buzzword; it’s a tool capable of revolutionizing industries, generating wealth, and fostering economic growth,” Ajayi remarked. He emphasized the need for Africans to harness blockchain technology to unlock its vast potential. “My mission is to ensure that people, especially Africans, understand how to leverage blockchain to their advantage,” he added.
Ajayi’s efforts to bridge the blockchain knowledge gap have led to the training of over 2,000 professionals in Nigeria through his Blockchain Academy. His focus is on promoting diversity in the tech space while equipping individuals with the skills needed to drive innovation in their sectors.
As the lead blockchain consultant at U.S.-based Digital Focus LLC, Ajayi is currently designing blockchain solutions and developing strategies for American clients. His educational programs cater to both technical and non-technical professionals, empowering them to apply blockchain technology in various industries, including finance and supply chain management.

According to Fortune Business Insight, the global blockchain technology market, valued at $17.57 billion in 2023, is projected to soar to $825.93 billion by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate of 52.8% from 2024 to 2032. This massive growth potential further highlights the importance of embracing blockchain as a key driver of economic progress.
