Meet Roosevelt Michael Ogbonna New MD/CEO Access Bank Plc

Access Holdings Plc., on March 28 2022 announced the changes and appointments to the board of its banking subsidiary, Access Bank Plc.

The company disclosed this in a statement signed by Sunday Ekwochi, the group company secretary, on Monday in Lagos.

The statement said the announcement followed the completion of the scheme of arrangement between Access Bank Plc and its shareholders.

It said the board appointed Roosevelt Michael Ogbonna as the managing director/chief executive officer of the Access Bank, Victor Etuokwu, deputy managing director, Retail North and Chizoma Okoli, deputy managing director, Retail South.

Roosevelt Michael Ogbonna: Profile

Ogbonna was appointed by Access Bank as the Executive Director, Commercial Banking Division in 2013 and became Group Deputy Managing Director in 2017.

He has over 20 years’ experience in banking, cutting across Treasury, Commercial and Corporate Banking.

He joined Access Bank in 2002 as a Manager from Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and holds a second-class upper degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Roosevelt Michael Ogbonna is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and has attended Executive Management Development Programmes in several leading institutions.

Mr. Ogbonna represents the Bank on the boards of Access Bank (Zambia) Ltd, Central Securities Clearing System Plc, Africa Finance Corporation and The Access Bank (UK) Limited.
