Liquid Telecom South Africa, a part of the leading pan-African telecoms group Liquid Telecom, had embarked on a journey to adapt its operating model as the company began the transition towards becoming Africa’s leading digital services provider. Following this transition, Liquid Telecom has grown to become an industry leader, building Africa’s best network and providing the open-access network that has resulted in 5G being available throughout the country.

Throughout 2020, Liquid Telecom has reaffirmed its position as a company committed to advancing the digital future of South Africa. The acquisition of the SAMRAND data centre and the ability to quickly adapt as COVID-19 required innovation in work from home capabilities have shown that Liquid Telecom is in the position to reshape the South African technology industry and to fully realise its market position as a digital service provider of choice for businesses locally.

Today Liquid Telecom announces its strategic repositioning as Liquid Intelligent Technologies. Along with the transition of the business in the last two years, new products and solutions have been added to the company’s connectivity offering. As such, the company would need to develop people and improve organisational maturity to enable them to operate in the intelligent technology business to generate immediate and sustainable value to current and future shareholders and exceed customer expectations to be more competitive in our industry.

To ensure operational efficiency and improved service delivery to customers, Liquid Telecom has also developed a new operating model to address its technological and structural needs for growth to develop structures, skills and capabilities to be rapidly augmented to effectively exceed the expectations of the consumers.

Through the transition period, Liquid Telecom has remained committed to building Africa’s digital future and collaborating with customers to connect, innovate and grow throughout the entire digitisation journey.
