Kenya: JICA kicks off 2nd cohort of the NINJA Accelerator in Kenya

The startups participating represent the fintech, manufacturing, agritech, entertainment and agriculture sectors

The NINJA Accelerator Kenya powered by JICADouble Feather PartnersDeloitte, Tohmatsu, and GrowthAfrica has kicked off the 2nd cohort with 5 tech startups Kijenzi (manufacturing), Shamba Pride (agritech), M-Paya Energy (smart metering), Saada Tech (fintech), and MyMoviesAfrica (entertainment). The 12-week journey will culminate in a 12-week journey leading to an official showcase on Demo Day on January 28, 2022.

Shingo Morihata, a Senior Director, described the NINJA Accelerator as “providing customized support to founders”. The program will further be updated to address specific gaps.

Kohei Muto, the CEO of Double Feather Partners leading the NINJA Accelerator in Kenya pointed their role as “helping startups get international-investor-ready.”

The 2nd cohort builds upon the progress of the first cohort which had top-tier startups such as Amitruck, Sokowatch, Kwara, Zana Africa, and Cinch Markets. More on the NINJA Accelerator in Kenya at www.jica.ninja
