Oman has successfully localized nine major health sector projects within Khazaen Economic City, South Al Batinah Governorate, with a total investment value of OMR 156 million (approximately $405 million) by the end of 2024. These projects, spanning both local and foreign investments, aim to strengthen the country’s pharmaceutical and medical supply industries.
According to Khazaen Economic City, the investments focus on specialized pharmaceutical manufacturing, including the production of human vaccines, medicines, and medical supplies. Additionally, the projects include the establishment of advanced storage and import facilities for medicines and medical equipment, further enhancing Oman’s healthcare infrastructure and supply chain capabilities.
These strategic developments align with Oman’s vision to position Khazaen Economic City as a key hub for pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, fostering economic growth and self-sufficiency in medical manufacturing and distribution.
