Nigeria: Lagos government canvasses growth of smart therapy

Lagos State Government has stressed the need for smart therapy, where surgery is performed without anesthesia.

The state’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, stated this, yesterday, during the commissioning of Kelina Hospital in Lagos, saying that the world is moving to smart therapy.

He added that the state government is committed to providing enabling environment and infrastructure for the growth of the private sector.

In his speech, Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Kelina Hospital, Dr. Celsus Undie, said the new state-of-the-art surgical care facility was born out of the need to provide surgical care compared with what is found anywhere in the world.
