In a meticulous and rigorous selection process, Digital Health Africa has emerged as the distinguished recipient of the esteemed Tech Impact Fund 2023, an honor bestowed by Tech Impact Club Africa.
With a resolute commitment to fostering technological progress, TIC Africa has chosen to extend its support to Digital Health Africa in their ambitious undertaking – the organization of the Digital Health Student Bootcamp 2023. This collaborative effort will be fortified by a substantial grant of $3,000.
The cornerstone of this collaboration is the Digital Health Africa Student Fellowship, a groundbreaking initiative spanning 4 months. Designed to catalyze digital health skills and foster innovation among undergraduate students across Africa, the program is set to be transformative.
At its core, the initiative aims to identify and nurture 20 exceptional undergraduates hailing from diverse African universities. These chosen individuals will undergo a comprehensive 2-month training regimen, gaining critical digital skills, honing research acumen, and cultivating entrepreneurial acumen through immersive workshops.
During the fellowship, participants will be encouraged to harness their newfound skills to conceptualize and develop innovative digital health solutions tailored to the distinct needs of their respective communities.
The culmination of this collective effort will be celebrated at the Final Graduation event, where the most promising solutions will be showcased. The top 5 solutions will not only be highlighted but also nurtured and supported for further advancement.
Tech Impact Club Africa has an admirable history of championing similar initiatives, and this award-winning collaboration underscores their commitment to transcending borders. By extending their reach beyond Nigeria, they are now set to impact West African and East African communities as well.
Expressing enthusiasm, James Fowe, Chairman of Tech Impact Club Africa, shared, “We are thrilled to present Digital Health Africa with the prestigious Tech Impact Fund 2023 award. Their vision for the Digital Health Student Bootcamp impeccably resonates with our mission of empowering young minds and propelling positive transformations in the digital health landscape across Africa. Anticipation runs high as we await the innovative solutions that will emerge from this fellowship, poised to leave a lasting impact.”
