Angola Focuses on Health Resilience Project to Address Critical Healthcare Needs

The Angolan Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, emphasized the pressing requirements of the healthcare sector during a meeting in Luanda. These needs encompass the restoration of healthcare coverage in maternal and child health, nutrition, and the fight against prevalent endemic diseases.

Addressing the Health Resilience Project meeting, Minister Lutucuta underscored its pivotal role in enhancing the response capabilities of Angola’s National Health System. She stressed that, especially in times of global challenges, such as the current ones, health resilience takes precedence.

Minister Sílvia Lutucuta elucidated the committee’s objective, emphasizing its role in overseeing the implementation progress of the Health Resilience Project’s activities and facilitating effective communication among all stakeholders.

The Angolan government established this committee in conjunction with the signing of a financing agreement involving the European Investment Bank and the United Nations Development Programme.

This commitment reflects Angola’s dedication to bolstering its healthcare system and addressing the critical healthcare needs of its population.
